Lodging At the Atlantic House
Come and relax at The Atlantic House, one of the earlist established hotels at Narragansett Pier. We are located on the famous and scenic Ocean Road, with panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean.Originally built during the winter of 1866-67, and having been remolded, The Atlantic House boasts of days-of-old charm with modern-day amenities. The full sweep of the ocean breeze across the expansive front lawn as wonderful as ever with modern touches galore.
Relax in one of our full ocean view guest rooms with a seperate sitting parlor and step out on your private balcony, breathe the fresh ocean air, and take in the spectacular view of Narragansett Bay. For your convenience, all rooms have individual climate control, microwave ovens, small refrigerators, hair dryers, coffee makers, iron and ironing boards and color television with cable reception. All rooms are equipped with electronic entry lock security systems. Please be aware that because of the age of this historical hotel, there is no elevator.
Port of Galilee-a quaint fishing village,Block Island Ferry, Newport, Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun Casino's are a short drive away.
The Atlantic House is central to countless recreational and cultural activities such as golf, tennis, boating, museums, historical landmarks and ferries to Block Island and Martha's Vineyard.
Narragansett Beach is a short walk with is crisp white sands and beautiful waves. Also the shops of the village and restaurants are just steps away from our front door.
All guest are encouraged to visit our 2nd floor public deck with deck furniture, umbrellas and a unabaited view of the Atlantic Ocean. Perfect for afternoon cocktails or an end of the evening cigar.
Full Ocean View rooms come with either 2 double beds, 1 queen or a king bed. Each have a small sitting room, balcony, microwave oven, small refrigerator and coffee maker, iron and ironing boards.
Semi-Ocean View rooms have either 1 or 2 king beds or 2 double beds. Their are 3 motel style rooms that have small outside sitting areas with water views and 3 with sitting ares that face the yard. Each also have microwave ovens, small refrigerators,coffee makers,irons etc.
Standard Rooms have either 2 double beds, 1 king or 1 full beds. They have no ocean view or balconies but do come equipped with all the same amenities as the other rooms.
2 Bedroom Apartment is located on the top floor of the hotel (NO ELEVATOR). Each apartment has a full kitchen, large living room, 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms and a spectacular ocean view with full deck off the living room. One apartment contains 2 full and 2 queens and the other has 2 full and 1 king. The king bed faces the ocean.
The entire exterior of the hotel has been repainted as of August 1 ,2009. All the guest rooms have been refurbrish with duvet covers and matching pillow shams. Many rooms have new dressers, coffee tables, lamps end tables and art work.
Both 2 room apartment has been refurbrished with pull out couches, coffee tables, end tables ,new mattresses and upholstered chairs. We do not recommend using the pull out couches as beds.
