Q: What is the difference between a Full Ocean View Room and a Standard Room?
A: At The Atlantic House, we have a variety of different room options. In our Full Ocean View rooms and Partial Ocean View rooms our guests have the ability to look out their rooms’ window and enjoy the beautiful views of Scarborough State Beach! Outside each room of our rooms is 2 chairs and a small outside table. So even if you are not able to see the ocean from our standard rooms, you are able to see outside and enjoy the wonderful views that Narragansett has to offer.
Q: Do any of your rooms have Double Beds?
A: We do have rooms that have multiple beds for guests with bigger parties. Our standard 2 full beds can accommodate up to 3 adults. For larger parties, we have standard 3 full bed rooms that can hold up to 4 adults. Our 3 full bedroom is described as 2 full beds at the beginning of the room Then a wall with a door that then holds the third full bed.
Q: Do any of your rooms have a kitchenette?
A: Our efficiency rooms have a max occupancy of up to 3 adults. These rooms are furnished with one queen size bed and a full-size pull-out couch. We do provide bedding for the pull-out couch within the room. These rooms are equipped with a small kitchenette and cooking utensils if you decided you would like to prepare your own food for your stay.
Q: Are any of your rooms handicapped accessible?
A: Most of our rooms are on the first floor. Every room on the property has a standup shower within the bathroom. If you need any more assistance, we do ask you call the hotel directly, so we are able to make the necessary arrangements for you.
Q: When do I pay for my stay?
A: We do charge the credit card provided the required one-night deposit during booking to be able to hold the reservation. You then will have to pay for the remaining balance of your reservation during the check-inn process. We do accept cash payments for the remaining balance of your reservation. The initial payment of the one-night deposit does have to be charged to a credit card or we are not able to hold the reservation.
Q: What is your cancellation policy?
A: We have a very strict 7-day cancellation policy. You have the ability to change or cancel reservation up to 7 days prior to arrival. Once your reservation becomes within the 7 days of arrival, we then keep the one-night deposit that we do require during booking.
Q: What do the rooms come with?
A: Each of our rooms are equipped with a microwave, mini fridge, a small coffee maker and a smart TV. We do provide coffee pods for each room. Our establishment also offers free parking and free WIFI to all guests. We do have efficiencies on site that have a small kitchenette and dining room table. We also have a complementary “Grab and Go” breakfast every morning with bagels, coffee, and juice in the front office from 7am-10:30am.
Q: Are hair dryers and ironing broads provided?
A: We do have hair dryers and ironing broads at the front desk. If you need any of these necessities one of our lovely staff members would be happy to provide them for you. You do have the ability to keep them during your entire stay, or if you would like to return these items after use it is up to you.
Q: How close is the beach to your hotel?
A: We are located directly across the street from Scarborough State Beach! Scarborough State Beach has no access fee, so you can walk right over free of charge. Parking, on the other hand, is not free for beach comers but if you are staying at The Atlantic House, one parking space is provided in our lot at no additional charge!
Q: Do you have extra parking?
A: Every reservation is provided with one free parking space within our parking lot. If you have additional vehicles a charge of $15+tax a day for each vehicle will need to be paid. After payment we then will provide the guest with an additional parking pass. If we do find any additional vehicles on the property that is not registered with the hotel the vehicle will be towed off the property.
Q: Do you provide a cot?
A: Yes, we do have single bed cots on the property that guests are able to use in certain rooms of the hotel on a first come, first serve basis. The guest will be charged a cot fee of $20 per night. Cots are only able to fit within certain rooms of the hotel, so we do ask to call the office before arrival, so we are able to make the arrangements for you.
Q: How many people can fit in one room?
A: We do have various size rooms at The Atlantic House with different maximum occupancies. Each additional adult that is over the occupancy of that room will be an extra charge of $15+tax for each individual.
Q: Are pets allowed?
A: The Atlantic House is a no pet hotel, if we find that you have brought any animals on to the property we do have the ability to vacate you from the premise and charge a $75 cleaning fee to your card necessary for our staff to be able to do a full deep clean of the room. If you are traveling with a service animal, the hotel does ask to see the correct documentation to have for our records. Guests with service animals will automatically be charged a $75 cleaning fee, so we are able to deep clean the room after the guest’s departure. This is for the safety for all guests within the hotel. There are multiple kennels within the area if you are traveling with any animals.
Q: Do you have an early check-inn option?
A: Early check-in times cannot be guaranteed as they are based on occupancy, availability, checkout and cleaning, which are all unforeseeable future events. If your room is ready when you arrive, an early check-in fee will apply. If your room is not ready or prefer not to pay the fee, you may complete the check-in process at the front desk, park in the hotel lot, and enjoy your day at the beach. You are then able to come at 3pm, our standard check-in time and receive your key.
Q: Am I able to get a late check-out?
A: We do apologize we do not offer any late check out requests due to occupancy and arrivals for new reservations arriving. We do offer that after 11 am check out, the ability to park your vehicle in the extra parking lot behind the hotel and walk over to the beach for a few hours. So that you can avoid paying for parking at the beach. We do prefer that you do retrieve your vehicle before check-in time at 3 pm, to allow our new guests to arrive!
Q: Does the hotel provide housekeeping service during my stay?
A: The hotel does provide housekeeping services to all guests that request it during their stay. We do ask guests to ask in the morning, so we are able to clean the room while housekeepers are working. We will not enter any rooms that have not requested housekeeping services. Guests can exchange towels in the front office anytime during office hours.
Q: What are the front office hours?
A: Our front office is opened from 7am-11pm every day with staff to help with any assistance you might need. If you require assistance after these hours the phone located outside the office will reach our 24-hour staff on the property. All guests staying at the hotel can dial “0” from their hotel rooms to reach the front desk as well. A “Grab and Go” breakfast will be provided every morning in the front office from 7am-10:30am.
Q: Does your hotel have an ice machine?
A: The Atlantic House does not have an ice machine on the property. Each room is provided with an ice bucket, that we can fill free of charge with the 5 LB ice bags that we do have for sale. Our 5lb bags of ice are for sale at the front office.
Q: How far in advance do you book out?
A: We do not have any specific time limit, but when booking with us directly up to one and half years in advance, reservations will not be charged the one-night deposit until that upcoming March of the year that the reservation is for. This is only for one room per guest.
